The AGWSR Cougars (Ackley, IA) basketball edged the visiting Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA), 56-53 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 5-12 record. They play next when they travel to Belmond-Klemme for a non-league bout on Monday, January 27.
With the loss, Oelwein falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA) to play the Warriors in a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Wapsie Valley lost 73-53 in their recent league bout against Jesup (Jesup, IA)
