The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Benjamin Franklin Falcons (New Orleans, LA) and the visiting L.W. Higgins Hurricanes (Marrero, LA), observed Benjamin Franklin's basketball team knock off L.W. Higgins by a score of 49-38.

The Falcons (8-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Holden (Holden, LA). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 11-15 record. In their last challenge, Holden prevailed over Hathaway (Jennings, LA), 46-43, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hurricanes encounter the John Ehret Patriots (Marrero, LA) in a 5A District 10 challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. L.W. Higgins will attempt to improve on its 4-18 season record.
