The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD) and the visiting Burke Cougars (Burke, SD), observed Wagner's basketball team overwhelm Burke by a score of 59-15.
The Red Raiders (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Corsica/Stickney was routed by Ethan (Ethan, SD), 66-57, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Boyd County Spartans (Spencer, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Burke will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 49-47 non-league loss to Elkhorn Valley (Tilden, NE).
