The Coe-Brown Academy Bears (Northwood, NH) basketball edged the host Timberlane Owls (Plaistow, NH), 59-54 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Bears now possess a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Laconia for a Division II bout on Tuesday, January 28. Coe-Brown Academy will play a Sachems team coming off a 53-36 league win over Plymouth (Plymouth, NH). The Sachems record now stands at 3-6.
With the loss, Timberlane falls to 0-12 on the campaign. The Owls host Sanborn Regional (Kingston, NH) to confront the Indians in a non-league contest on Monday, January 27. The Indians go into the contest with a record of 6-3. Sanborn Regional won 83-43 in their recent league contest against Kingswood (Wolfeboro, NH)
