The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the De Smet Jesuit Spartans (St. Louis, MO) and the visiting Trinity Christian Academy Lions (Jackson, TN), observed De Smet Jesuit's basketball team overcome Trinity Christian Academy by a margin of 75-58.

The Spartans (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chaminade (St. Louis, MO). The Red Devils come into the Metro Catholic challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Chaminade dropped by Brewster Academy National (Wolfeboro, NH), 59-53, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions battle the St. Mary's Dragons (St. Louis, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Trinity Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 14-7 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 68-54 non-league loss to Principia (St. Louis, MO).
