Utah High School Basketball - Freedom Prep Academy trounced by Escalante

The Freedom Prep Academy Eagles basketball squad (Provo, UT), was crushed 69-34 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Escalante Moquis (Escalante, UT)

With the victory, Escalante advances its record to 7-9 on the year. The Moquis travel to Piute (Junction, UT) to meet the Thunderbirds in a 1A Region 20 battle on Wednesday, January 29. The Thunderbirds enter the battle with a record of 8-9. Piute won 65-51 in their recent league battle against Bryce Valley (Tropic, UT)

The Eagles now own a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Vanguard Academy for a 2A Region 16 battle on Tuesday, January 28. Freedom Prep Academy will meet a Knights squad coming off a 72-45 non-league win over Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams (Lehi, UT). The Knights record now stands at 5-4.
