The Griggs County Central/Midkota Cougars (Cooperstown, ND) basketball were winner over the visiting Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN), 66-53 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Cougars now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they host North Star co-op [Cando/Bisbee-Egeland/Munich/Starkweather] for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 25. Griggs County Central/Midkota will play a Bearcats team coming off a 73-62 non-league loss to Midway/Minto (Inkster, ND). The Bearcats record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Maple River falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Esko (Esko, MN) to play the Eskomos in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 25. The Eskomos go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Esko won 74-72 in their recent non-league bout against Superior (Superior, WI)
