The Lacassine Cardinals basketball team scored 81 points and limited the visiting Midland Rebels to 40 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now possess a 25-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hathaway for a B District 6 game on Tuesday, January 28. Lacassine will confront a Hornets team coming off a 46-43 non-league loss to Holden (Holden, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 17-30.

With the loss, Midland falls to 15-12 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Welsh (Welsh, LA) to confront the Greyhounds in a 2A District 6 game on Thursday, January 30. The Greyhounds go into the game with a record of 5-12.
