The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy Patriots (Mooresville, NC) and the visiting Statesville Christian Lions (Statesville, NC), observed Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy's basketball team overcome Statesville Christian by a margin of 60-42.

The Patriots (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Lake Norman Christian (Davidson, NC). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 16-10 record. In their last challenge, Lake Norman Christian dropped by Corvian Community (Charlotte, NC), 87-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Hickory Christian Academy Knights (Hickory, NC) in a NCISAA Foothills challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Statesville Christian will attempt to better on its 11-9 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 73-36 league win over Salem Baptist Christian (Winston-Salem, NC).
