The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Whitman Vikings (Bethesda, MD) and the visiting Quince Orchard Cougars (Gaithersburg, MD), observed Whitman's basketball team overwhelm Quince Orchard by a score of 70-42.

The Vikings (12-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Richard Montgomery (Rockville, MD). The Rockets come into the non-league challenge with a 9-4 record.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons (Bethesda, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 27. Quince Orchard will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Barons go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 65-58 non-league win over Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD).
