The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Masterman (Philadelphia, PA) and the host Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA), observed Masterman's basketball team overwhelm Academy of the New Church by a score of 65-33.
The (8-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA). The Colonials come into the non-league challenge with a 12-6 record. In their last challenge, Plymouth Whitemarsh trounced Wissahickon (Ambler, PA), 47-20, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Lions encounter the Abington Friends (Jenkintown, PA) in a Friends Schools challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Academy of the New Church will attempt to improve on its 1-11 season record.
