In Friday's non-league contest, the host Reserve Mountaineers basketball team scored a big 68-30 triumph over the Alamo Navajo Cougars.

The Mountaineers (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Quemado (Quemado, NM). The Eagles go into the A District 2 contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Quemado was trounced by Cliff (Cliff, NM), 42-33, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Hondo Valley Eagles (Hondo, NM) in a A District 3 contest, on Friday, January 31. Alamo Navajo will attempt to better on its 6-12 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 8-5 record after their 45-15 non-league win over Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM).
