In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Hancock Bulldogs basketball team scored a big 62-14 triumph over the Watersmeet Nimrods.

The Bulldogs (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Calumet (Calumet, MI). The Copper Kings go into the Western Peninsula contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Calumet smashed Escanaba (Escanaba, MI), 50-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Nimrods confront the Houghton Gremlins (Houghton, MI) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 27. Watersmeet will attempt to better on its 0-8 season record. The Gremlins go into the contest with a 10-3 record after their 51-43 non-league win over Kingsford (Kingsford, MI).
