The Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers basketball squad (Lead, SD), was crushed 57-16 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Sturgis Brown Scoopers (Sturgis, SD)
With the victory, Sturgis Brown advances its record to 5-4 on the year. The Scoopers travel to Hill City (Hill City, SD) to meet the Rangers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Rangers enter the battle with a record of 4-8. Hill City won 39-21 in their recent non-league battle against Alliance (Alliance, NE)
The Golddiggers now own a 0-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hot Springs for a A Region 8 battle on Saturday, January 25. Lead-Deadwood will meet a Bison squad coming off a 38-27 non-league loss to Douglas (Box Elder, SD). The Bison record now stands at 2-7.
