In Friday's league contest, the visiting Newell-Fonda Mustangs basketball team scored a big 81-19 triumph over the Southeast Valley Jaguars.
The Mustangs (10-2) will now prepare for their contest against Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA). The E'Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 11-6 record. In their last contest, Emmetsburg smashed South O'Brien (Paullina, IA), 52-20, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Jaguars confront the Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA) in a Twin Lakes contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Southeast Valley will attempt to better on its 1-15 season record. The Indians go into the contest with a 11-4 record after their 54-51 non-league win over Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA).
