The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Owen County Rebels (Owenton, KY) and the host Western Hills Wolverines (Frankfort, KY), observed Owen County's basketball team edge Western Hills by a score of 64-61.

The Rebels (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Henry County (New Castle, KY). The Wildcats come into the District 31 challenge with a 1-16 record. In their last challenge, Henry County was tipped by Sayre (Lexington, KY), 67-52, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolverines battle the Berea Pirates (Berea, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Western Hills will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 26-13 non-league win over Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY).
