Ralston Valley Mustangs (Arvada, CO) boosters were satisfied Friday as they witnessed their ice hockey team defeat the visiting Grandview Wolves (Aurora, CO), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Monarch (Louisville, CO). The Coyotes come into the 5A League 4 challenge with a 9-1 record. In their last challenge, Monarch Castle View (Castle Rock, CO), 3-3, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolves battle the Standley Lake Gators (Westminster, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Grandview will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Chatfield (Littleton, CO).
