Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Midland Legacy Rebels (Midland, TX) and the host Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), saw Midland Legacy's soccer squad hold off Cooper by a count of 2-1.

The Rebels (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX). The Bobcats enter the 6A Region 1 District 2 battle with a 6-2 record.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Odessa Bronchos (Odessa, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, January 28. Cooper will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Bronchos enter the battle with a 6-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Del Rio (Del Rio, TX).
