New Jersey High School Basketball - Garfield nips Manchester Regional

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Garfield Boilermakers (Garfield, NJ) and the host Manchester Regional Falcons (Haledon, NJ), saw Garfield's basketball squad hold off Manchester Regional by a count of 41-39.
With the victory, Garfield upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Boilermakers host Hawthorne (Hawthorne, NJ) to play the Bears in a Bergen/Passaic - King challenge on Thursday, January 27. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Hawthorne won 70-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ)
Next up, the Falcons play the Waldwick Warriors (Waldwick, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 28. Manchester Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
