In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) basketball squad edged the visiting Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM), by a count of 48-44.
The Cougars (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Zuni (Zuni, NM). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Zuni held off Newcomb (Newcomb, NM), 50-46, in a non-league outing.
The Warriors now hold a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ruidoso for a non-league outing on Friday, January 27. Socorro will clash with a Warriors squad coming off a 55-36 non-league loss to Chaparral (Chaparral, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 0-4.
