In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Owen County Rebels (Owenton, KY) basketball squad edged the visiting Berea Pirates (Berea, KY), by a margin of 30-25.
The Rebels (14-7) will now prepare for their outing against Holy Cross (Covington, KY). The Indians go into the non-league outing with a 18-5 record. In their last outing, Holy Cross held off Leslie County (Hyden, KY), 71-38, in a non-league outing.
The Pirates now own a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Cumberland County for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 26. Berea will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 54-43 league win over Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Panthers record now stands at 12-8.
