In Wednesday's non-league game, the Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) soccer squad tipped the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions (Goodyear, AZ), by a final score of 2-1.
The Firebirds (8-2) will now prepare for their game against Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Vipers go into the non-league game with a 16-1 record. In their last game, Verrado nipped Millennium (Goodyear, AZ), 4-2, in a league game.
The Scorpions (12-5) will now prepare for their game against Millennium (Goodyear, AZ). The Tigers go into the 5A Desert West game with a 3-6 record.
