Pierce Bluejays (Pierce, NE) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Crofton Warriors (Crofton, NE), 49-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pierce upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Bluejays travel to Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE) to play the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Bluejays go into the bout with a record of 5-10. Guardian Angels Central Catholic won 56-49 in their recent non-league bout against Oakland-Craig (Oakland, NE)

Next up, the Warriors play the Boone Central Cardinals (Albion, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Crofton will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 59-56 league win over Battle Creek (Battle Creek, NE).
