The Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers basketball team (Lead, SD), was overwhelmed 83-59 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Douglas Patriots (Box Elder, SD)
The Patriots now possess a 3-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yankton for a AA battle on Saturday, January 27. Douglas will confront a Bucks/Gazelles team coming off a 64-42 league loss to Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD). The Bucks/Gazelles record now stands at 1-9.
The Golddiggers (3-10) will now prepare for their battle against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Spearfish trounced Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD), 47-44, in a league battle.
