The Hatley Tigers basketball team (Amory, MS), was nudged 47-44 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS)
The Urchins now possess a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thrasher for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. East Union will confront a Rebels team coming off a 64-41 league loss to Wheeler (Wheeler, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 10-11.
The Tigers (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against Walnut (Walnut, MS). The Wildcats come into the 2A Region 1 battle with a 10-9 record.
