Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD), 57-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Washington upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV) to play the Eagles in a Eastern Panhandle bout on Friday, January 26. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Hedgesville won 46-23 in their recent non-league bout against Millbrook (Winchester, VA)

Next up, the Sentinels play the Berkeley Springs Indians (Berkeley Springs, WV) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Fort Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 48-40 non-league win over Southern Fulton (Warfordsburg, PA).
