Louisiana High School Basketball - South Plaquemines can't hold off GEO Next Generation

The South Plaquemines Hurricanes basketball team (Buras, LA), was nudged 51-49 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host GEO Next Generation Tigers (Baton Rouge, LA)

The Tigers now possess a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Varsity Opponent for a non-league battle on Friday, January 26. GEO Next Generation will battle a team coming off a 93-82 league loss to Franklin Road Christian (Murfreesboro, TN). The record now stands at 308-1178.

The Hurricanes (9-15) will now prepare for their battle against Jefferson RISE Charter (Harvey, LA). The come into the 2A District 9 battle with a 8-7 record. In their last battle, Jefferson RISE Charter edged Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA), 62-57, in a non-league battle.
