New York High School Basketball - Hawthorne Valley tops Doane Stuart

January 25, 2024: Ghent, NY 12075

Hawthorne Valley Wildcats (Ghent, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Doane Stuart Thunder Chicken (Albany, NY), 78-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hawthorne Valley upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Berlin/New Lebanon (Berlin, NY) to play the Mountain Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Mountain Lions come into the bout with a record of 3-12. Berlin/New Lebanon lost 74-50 in their recent non-league bout against Loudonville Christian (Loudonville, NY)

Next up, the Thunder Chicken play the Corinth Riverhawks (Corinth, NY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 31. Doane Stuart will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record.
