South Texas Christian Academy Panthers (McAllen, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Houston Adventist Academy (Cypress, TX), 65-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Texas Christian Academy upgrades its record to 7-8 on the season. The Panthers travel to South Lancaster Academy (South Lancaster, MA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 7-3. South Lancaster Academy won 62-32 in their recent league bout against Sizer (Fitchburg, MA)

Next up, the play the Covenant Academy Patriots (Cypress, TX) in a TAPPS 1A District 9 bout, on Monday, January 29. Houston Adventist Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 59-29 league loss to The Covenant Preparatory School (Kingwood, TX).
