The Trinidad Miners basketball team (Trinidad, CO), was overwhelmed 60-34 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Las Animas Trojans (Las Animas, CO)

The Trojans now possess a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Walsenburg for a 3A/2A Santa Fe battle on Thursday, February 1.

The Miners (0-11) will now prepare for their battle against Crested Butte (Crested Butte, CO). The Titans come into the 3A/2A Southern Peaks battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Crested Butte trounced Sargent (Monte Vista, CO), 62-47, in a league battle.
