Maine High School Basketball - Telstar edges Maranacook

The Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME) basketball nipped the host Maranacook Black Bears (Readfield, ME), 65-63 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Rebels (4-5) will now prepare for their test against St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME). The Saints go into the D South test with a 12-0 record. In their last test, St. Dominic got by North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME), 64-34, in a non-league test.
The Black Bears now own a 11-3 record. They play next when they host Madison for a non-league match on Saturday, January 27. Maranacook will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 72-42 non-league loss to Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-5.
