The Sioux Valley Cossacks (Volga, SD) basketball crushed the host McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD), 72-30 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Cossacks (12-0) will now prepare for their test against Hot Springs (Hot Springs, SD). The Bison go into the non-league test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Hot Springs walloped Faith (Faith, SD), 54-47, in a non-league test.
The Fighting Cougars now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Parkston for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30. McCook Central/Montrose will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 57-38 non-league loss to Vermillion (Vermillion, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 9-4.
