Mead Raiders (Mead, NE) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Tekamah-Herman Tigers (Tekamah, NE), 67-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mead upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Raiders host Elmwood-Murdock (Murdock, NE) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Elmwood-Murdock won 53-32 in their recent non-league bout against Palmyra (Palmyra, NE)

Next up, the Tigers play the Madison Dragons (Madison, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Tekamah-Herman will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 55-44 non-league win over Lyons-Decatur Northeast (Lyons, NE).
