The Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA) basketball knocked off the host Belle Chasse Cardinals (Belle Chasse, LA), 44-34 in Thursday's league test.
The Penguins (3-11) will now prepare for their test against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA). The Bulldogs go into the 4A District 10 test with a 4-10 record. In their last test, New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy went down by L.W. Higgins (Marrero, LA), 28-23, in a league test.
The Cardinals now own a 2-15 record. They play next when they host Phoenix for a non-league test on Saturday, January 27. Belle Chasse will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 49-27 non-league loss to Chalmette (Chalmette, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 13-15.
