AHSTW Vikings (Avoca, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Red Oak Tigers (Red Oak, IA), 54-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, AHSTW upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Vikings host Logan-Magnolia (Logan, IA) to play the Panthers in a Western Iowa bout on Friday, January 26. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Logan-Magnolia lost 41-39 in their recent league bout against Underwood (Underwood, IA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Clarinda Cardinals (Clarinda, IA) in a Hawkeye Ten bout, on Friday, January 26. Red Oak will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 10-7 record after their 44-30 non-league loss to Tri-Center (Neola, IA).
