With the victory, Ponchatoula improves its record to 18-11 on the campaign. The Green Wave host Mandeville (Mandeville, LA) to confront the Skippers in a 5A District 6 challenge on Friday, January 26. The Skippers come into the challenge with a record of 22-5. Mandeville won 37-34 in their recent league challenge against Slidell (Slidell, LA)

Next up, the Hornets confront the Amite Warriors (Amite, LA) in a 3A District 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Albany will attempt to improve on its 19-6 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 21-5 record after their 64-40 league win over Pine (Franklinton, LA).
