The Bald Eagle Area Bald Eagles basketball team (Wingate, PA), was overwhelmed 70-49 in Thursday's league battle with the host Central Dragons (Martinsburg, PA)

The Dragons now possess a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clearfield for a Laurel Highlands battle on Monday, January 29. Central will confront a Bison team coming off a 55-48 non-league loss to DuBois Central Catholic (DuBois, PA). The Bison record now stands at 10-6.

The Bald Eagles (4-10) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop Guilfoyle (Altoona, PA). The Marauders come into the Laurel Highlands battle with a 16-1 record. In their last battle, Bishop Guilfoyle trounced Bellwood-Antis (Bellwood, PA), 56-50, in a league battle.
