With the victory, Murphy improves its record to 2-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC) to confront the Yellowjackets in a 1A Smoky Mountain challenge on Friday, January 26. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Hayesville won 73-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Nantahala (Topton, NC)

Next up, the Bobcats confront the Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC) in a 1A Smoky Mountain challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Blue Ridge Early College will attempt to improve on its 1-14 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 43-19 non-league win over Summit Charter (Cashiers, NC).
