The Grain Valley Eagles basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Blue Springs South Jaguars to 35 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chillicothe for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Grain Valley will battle a Hornets team coming off a 54-33 non-league win over Winnetonka (Kansas City, MO). The Hornets record now stands at 12-1.
The Jaguars (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Winnetonka (Kansas City, MO). The Griffins enter the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Winnetonka was defeated by Chillicothe (Chillicothe, MO), 54-33, in a non-league contest.
