In Thursday's non-league outing, the Hilltop Christian Chargers (Fuquay-Varina, NC) basketball squad beat the host Coastal Christian Centurions (Wilmington, NC), by a count of 35-25.
The Chargers (8-9) will now prepare for their outing against Oak Forest (Wake Forest, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 14-5 record. In their last outing, Oak Forest defeated New Life Camp (Raleigh, NC), 79-46, in a league outing.
The Centurions now hold a 4-13 record. They play next when they travel to John Paul II Catholic for a NCISAA Coastal Plain outing on Friday, January 26. Coastal Christian will clash with a Saints squad coming off a 54-17 league win over Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC). The Saints record now stands at 17-3.
