Milbank Bulldogs (Milbank, SD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Deuel Cardinals (Clear Lake, SD), 49-16 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Milbank upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Vermillion (Vermillion, SD) to play the Tanagers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Tanagers come into the bout with a record of 8-3. Vermillion won 44-12 in their recent non-league bout against Dell Rapids (Dell Rapids, SD)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Elkton/Lake Benton Elks (Elkton, SD) in a A Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Deuel will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Elks come into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 48-43 league win over Great Plains Lutheran (Watertown, SD).
