The Douglas Patriots basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers to 31 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Patriots now sport a 2-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Yankton for a AA contest on Saturday, January 27. Douglas will meet a Bucks/Gazelles team coming off a 68-29 league loss to Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD). The Bucks/Gazelles record now stands at 3-8.
The Golddiggers (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Spearfish was routed by Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD), 58-27, in a league contest.
