Jefferson West Tigers (Meriden, KS) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Wellsville Eagles (Wellsville, KS), 50-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jefferson West improves its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Lansing (Lansing, KS) to confront the Lions in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 1-9. Lansing lost 44-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Blue Valley Southwest (Overland Park, KS)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Prairie View Buffalos (La Cygne, KS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Wellsville will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record.
