The Oakes Tornadoes (Oakes, ND) basketball nipped the host Wyndmere/Lidgerwood Warbirds (Wyndmere, ND), 45-40 in Thursday's league test.

The Tornadoes (11-4) will now prepare for their test against Richland (Colfax, ND). The Colts go into the B District 1 test with a 6-11 record. In their last test, Richland got by Enderlin (Enderlin, ND), 52-33, in a league test.

The Warbirds now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] for a B District 1 test on Monday, January 29. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 48-40 non-league loss to Britton-Hecla (Britton, SD). The Tigers record now stands at 4-10.
