Woodland Beavers (Woodland, WA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Washougal Panthers (Washougal, WA), 38-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Woodland upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to R.A. Long (Longview, WA) to play the Lumberjacks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Lumberjacks come into the bout with a record of 1-4. R.A. Long lost 52-12 in their recent non-league bout against Columbia River (Vancouver, WA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Fort Vancouver Trappers (Vancouver, WA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 26. Washougal will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record.
