Roosevelt Rough Riders (Kent, OH) fans left the game thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their ice hockey team achieve victory over the visiting Solon Comets (Solon, OH), 8-5 in a non-league match.

The Rough Riders (10-11) will now prepare for their match against Bishop Watterson (Columbus, OH). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Bishop Watterson held off Roosevelt (Kent, OH), 5-3, in a league match.

Next up, the Comets encounter the Canfield Cardinals (Canfield, OH) in a match, on Sunday, January 28. Solon will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Cardinals enter the match with a 3-7 record after their 7-0 league loss to Normandy (Parma, OH).
