West Virginia High School Basketball - Belpre holds off Ritchie County

The Belpre Golden Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Ritchie County Rebels to 53 in the Golden Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Golden Eagles now possess a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Warren for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 28. Belpre will confront a Warriors team coming off a 73-26 league win over Point Pleasant (Point Pleasant, WV). The Warriors record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, Ritchie County falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV) to confront the Crusaders in a Little Kanawha - West game on Tuesday, January 28. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 3-9.
