Nebraska High School Basketball - Elkhorn Valley holds off Boyd County

January 25, 2025: Spencer, NE 68777

In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Elkhorn Valley Falcons basketball team scored a close 49-47 triumph over the Boyd County Spartans.

The Falcons (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] (Clearwater, NE). The Bobcats go into the C2 District 9 contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] nipped Pierce (Pierce, NE), 47-32, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spartans confront the Burke Cougars (Burke, SD) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 30. Boyd County will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 0-11 record after their 59-15 non-league loss to Wagner (Wagner, SD).
