New Mexico High School Basketball - Legacy Academy triumphant over Elida

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Legacy Academy Silverbacks (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Elida Tigers (Elida, NM), observed Legacy Academy's basketball team overwhelm Elida by a margin of 62-25.

The Silverbacks (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Monte Del Sol Charter (Santa Fe, NM). The Dragons come into the 2A District 2 challenge with a 3-12 record. In their last challenge, Monte Del Sol Charter was trounced by Logan (Logan, NM), 77-32, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Dora Coyotes (Dora, NM) in a A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Elida will attempt to better on its 7-7 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 51-34 non-league loss to Legacy Academy (Albuquerque, NM).
