In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Northeast Vikings basketball team scored a close 55-49 win over the Jefferson West Tigers.
The Vikings (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Uniontown (Uniontown, KS). The Eagles come into the Three Rivers contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Uniontown was tipped by Oswego (Oswego, KS), 53-48, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Perry-Lecompton Kaws (Perry, KS) in a Big East contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Jefferson West will attempt to better on its 4-6 season record. The Kaws come into the contest with a 5-7 record after their 49-41 non-league loss to Rossville (Rossville, KS).
